Wednesday of GCRO Week is always a BIG day, with a morning Pro-Am start and the Gold
Finch Tap + Eatery Dinner Party in the Lodge.
This year, Mother Nature continued her poking with a total of four inches of rain dropping on most of Hunters Ridge in 48 hours. As a result, the Pro-Am was delayed and shortened to nine holes for all 25 Teams. After the delayed start, the weather held, everyone was able to play nine holes, and no water came from the sky! Everyone’s shoes were a big soggy by the end of the day.
The dinner was served as scheduled, with steak and chicken grilled fresh just outside the lodge. The incredible entrees were served with delicious mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, green beans, and dessert, including cookies and brownies. The complete dining experience was a hit. We want to say thanks again to Taylor and John Lillibridge for the wonderful meals!
Scott, one of the Maize Island trio, played music on the patio throughout the evening. The day also included a putting contest. Our winner, Brock Bitford, made the impossible putt from over
30 feet to take home the Split-the-Pot prize.
With better weather in the forecast, the real game begins. See you at Hunter’s Ridge Golf Course!
